To Write Love on her Arms

To write Love on her Arms devotes a day to raise awareness to suicide, which is today, November 12, 2010. Students from all different schools write “love” on their arms in all different styles. Today should be a day taken extremely seriously and everyone should participate in it. Suicide is a huge problem and only becoming larger. People like to look over it and steer away from it because they feel as though it is a “touchy” subject. Well in my opinion, it makes me sick knowing people can try to ignore and not talk about others feeling so alone and helpless they will never see the day their hair turns gray. No matter the reasons people feel this way, do not matter, no one should have to feel that bad about themselves or their situations to the point they do not want to live. Things can get better for people, and there are others out there that lost people can relate to and get support from. The whole overlooking the “touchy” topic does not fly in my world. Today I will write, in large letters, “love” on my arms, and I encourage you to do the same thing.
